Karen Gillan Cheers On Paul Reubens In TV On The Radio’s ‘Happy Idiot’ Music Video

In the music video for TV on the Radio’s excellent “Happy Idiot,” Paul Reubens speeds around a race track while Karen Gillian cheers him on in various outfits, including a cheerleader get-up. The fellas in TOTR are there, too, although unfortunately not in pretty dresses. The video was written by podcast professional Jake Fogelnest, who I assumed pitched the concept by saying, “What if the guy from Dunston Checks In, you might know him as Pee-Wee Herman, looks at Doctor Who‘s Amy Pond while driving in circles really quickly?” I’d watch that, and I did.
