The nice thing about the music video for Nine Inch Nails’ “Came Back Haunted,” directed by David Lynch, is that it looks EXACTLY like what you’d expect a Nine Inch Nails’ music video directed by David Lynch to look like. (Trent Reznor and Lynch collaborated once before, for the Lost Highway soundtrack.) It’s maddening, gorgeous, makes no sense, makes perfect sense, and comes with a warning: “This video has been identified by Epilepsy Action to potentially trigger seizures for people with photosensitive epilepsy. Viewer discretion is advised.” Eh, worth the risk.
