You almost had us, Pharrell. You wrote two of 2013′s most indispensable hit singles, you wore a goofy hat, you cried in front of Oprah while watching a montage of fans singing “Happy,” your candy-coated popcorn kernel of a song for the Despicable Me 2 soundtrack. You seem like such a nice guy, until you remove the music from the “Happy” music video, and now the world sees you for the unsettling MONSTER you truly are, Pharrell. Nothing about silent dancing Minions makes me happy.
