According to the three seconds of research I just did, National Dog Day was founded by “pet lifestyle expert and author” Colleen Paige in 2004, to honor dogs more than “we currently do.” I don’t know who this “we” is, but we respect all dogs big and small (except some poodles) ’round these parts.
