The outfit became so popular that a knockoff version is being sold online, which a translation informs me is being marketed as a “European and American nightclub sexy dress long sleeve dress autumn and winter package hip tight dress ladies temperament perspective goddess.” Perspective goddess is also Chelsea Peretti’s Gmail password. Without the assistance of Photoshop or a team of well-paid stylists, a cheap-o version of Jaimie’s multi-thousand dollar dress shows a lot more than it’s meant to. It reminds me of the time I bought a suit that looked like this, and I ended up looking like this.
Such are the perils of online shopping (and overly glossy Photoshop). For what it’s worth, the woman pictured above commented in the reviews at the site, “Baby has been received, the quality is very good, very sexy,” so no matter what anyone else thinks of the dress, she’s a fan.
