Wu-Tang Clan’s lowercase-genius RZA only has one directing credit to his name — 2012’s The Man with the Iron Fists — but he’s returning behind the camera for It Doesn’t Have to Rhyme, starring Azealia Banks. The music drama is about a female rapper (Banks) who, according to the Hollywood Reporter, “enrolls in college and enters a poetry course” that “[unleashes] in her a passion for slam poetry,” which people are usually passionately trying to get away from.

Common will co-star as a mentor, and Jill Scott and Lorraine Toussaint have also signed up to guide Banks on her “similar in tone to 8 Mile” journey. Both RZA and Banks hope no fat, white Americans see the film. Unless they’re fat on mom’s spaghetti. Then it’s fine.
