Having lived in Brooklyn for far too many years, I’ve seen my fair share of rooftop breakups. There’s something about the smell of subway garbage and dirty hot dog water blowing between the year-round bare trees that really brings out the hate between ex-couples. But none have been quite as greatest-American-love-story as the one comedian Kyle Ayers had the privilege of overhearing.
